I have one of these sitting on top of our 20G nano. We had our first loss last night when in a bid for freedom our yellow clown goby
left the tank and was found on the carpet this morning.

Anybody any ideas of how to cover tank without ruining the aesthetics?

Thanks

What kind of tank is it. Does it have any braces/rims on the inside? If so you could use a cover glass on there (though this does make your lights less effective). I personally use eggcrate on my open top tank. It is visable as my tank is about waist height but I also have a black plastic rim on the top of my tank which helps blend it in. I would say eggcrate is probably better than a cover glass (better gas exchange though more evaporation) but it doesnt look as good (though saying that I dont think it looks that ugly either).

No rims unfortunately. Best option i can think of so far is to have a piece of perspex cut which would stand on the top of the light unit leg supports.

thanks
