Arcadia Classica Twin Halide- Run On One Bulb?

Hi

I am looking to purchase an Arcadia metal halide unit but it has 2x 150w bulbs which are obviously too high for my planted tank. ( approx 34g UK)

Can anyone shed some light (excuse the pun) if it can be run with only 1 bulb fitted as this would be ideal

In terms of other stats

Currently running FE co2 and 2x 24w t5

Looking to plant higher light demanding plants such as Ludwiga glandosa


Or shud I even bother and attempt it with lower lighting ?

Please avoid posting duplicate topics. I'm going to remove the salt version of this topic so that the conversation stays in one place to avoid confusion. The questions are more suited to the planted section, since part of the issue is whether the fixture is even needed for the plants in question.
 
I can't help with the specific fixture since I haven't seen one, but, if you are new to MH fixtures, be warned that they can generate a lot of heat compared to many T5-only fixtures.
