aquatrax is a pc program that's basically a tank diary, goto aquacom.co.uk for info

does anyone here have this program? i've been using it and find it quite good, if a little basic

however i would love a manual for it as there are some things that are a little topsy-turvy to me.

I'm glad you posted this, I'm about to puchess a copy, and am happy to see someone here, that is happy with it.

I'd like to know if others have what they think, will it be worth my money.

Here is my opinion, sorry if the negativity disappoints. I don't use it anymore, though it was interesting to start with. I guess if there had been a little more depth to the program, and less reliance on my own research and input, it could have been a great piece of software...but by the time I had brought the database up-to-date, or entered water info and ran the reports, I could have already performed a partial water change :)

i agree with you, however, i'm gonna be starting a new tank up soon and it'll be interesting to have all the data stored on something other than scraps of paper

i do think that a plant section would be benificial also i read in PFK that you can update they fish database with ones not on the list already, unfortunatly i havent a clue how as of yet...

as i said before, its in need of a manual and a little basic, i think its down to personal preference really..

Does sound Limited, but also sound what I'm looking for, I'm more than happy to put in the effort of adding fish to the data bace, acherly give me an exscuss to lern alot more.

I think I'll get it and see. It only £15 anyway.

I'd be tempted to write onr myself - I'm a >net Web and PC Application developer.
I could write something that is web or pc based but dont have the time to put the full db together. The code shouldnt be that difficult to do but the info in the DB is another matter
With input from others we could end up with an app that does what we want.

Just a Thought

Fish database is very limited, but for only £15 (or even a £10 now) I think it's a really useful diary of the tank...

i'd be willing to help out in any way i could...

my bro is stunning at programming that sort of thing but he's a full time student and works too so he doesn't have any free time

let me know...

I keep track of my tanks on a white board and my fish stock on this forum in 'signature'-(which is why you never see my sig... way too long to post :p )

I found a program that is freeware that is very nice for logging all water params, taking notes on stock changes and also has reminders that you can enter and label.
I like the fact that the programmer has posted it for free and welcomes email comments instead of payment.
Anyway, here's the link ---> http://www.joejaworski.com/aqualog/

It's worth a quick download less than one megabyte.
