Aquatic Plants

Hello.

The local pet shops all only stock a small range of bunched weed like plants that dont root and die in a month! I was wondering if anyone knows of any good online shops or shops in south wales where i can get a good range of good quality plants. Cheers

If you want top quality Tropica plants, I can recommend both Aqua Essentials and The Green Machine as I have used both and the quality has been excellent, especially TGM who grow on the plants themselves in a hydroponics setup. Birstall Aquatics also sell Tropica.

Greenline Aquatics sell good quality plants, but I'm not sure where they are source from. I think they grow some themselves and import from asia. Generally good quality and good prices too.

Plants Alive are similar to Greenline, but I've only ordered from them once and wasn't overly impressed. Others have had better fortune, so I'm not writing them off just yet

I'm not linking to sites as it's generally against forum rules. Search the forum and online and you'll find the shops, no problems

On the rare occasions my LFS is out of Tropica plants, I use Greenline; always very well packed and plenty of them, too.

I have used Birstall and Aqua Essentials for Tropica plants and would recommend both - but if you want the plants quickly I would check with Birstall first that they have the plants you want in stock as I've had to wait several weeks in the past before they've got back to me to say they can't source the plants.

Greenline has also been good when I've used them.
