I was in Ikea the other day and saw they now sell aquatic plants.

"Suitable for aquariums" they say, and they're really nice, better than the plants from my LFS.

£1.99 per bunch. Did anyone else know about this?

See mine here => My Ikea Plants

Could Ikea be my new aquarium plant retailer????? Strange!

:good:

I'm not sure I want to admit this... when I got hooked on this whole fish keeping business the first plants I bought were from Ikea on impulse. 8 months later they are both still going strong having survived 2 tank moves and generally less than ideal plant growing conditions.

I wouldn't discount them straight away.

I'm suprised by Ikea, they actually look like nice healthy plants in your pictures and i like your tank :good:
Whenever i've bought house plants from Ikea, they've not lasted very long but i could be swayed to try their aquarium plants.

I usually by from greenline and i've just placed an order otherwise i'd be inclined to try ikea this weekend.

I went to Ikea a couple of weeks ago and saw those plants too. They call them "water plants". I was quite tempted too but they didn't have anything I wanted. Though some of them looked a bit leggy, most looked very green. We will soon be buying aquarium stuff from Ikea :hey:

My plants are still looking really good. I must admit, i am pleasently surprised!!! :good:

I bought one as an impulse, not for my aquarium (i have a marine aquarium) but my desk at work.
Does anyone know what there requirements are?
