Is there such a thing has specialist glue that can be used under water with fish present? I've heard the phrase being mentioned before but it doesn't seem to be commercially available in my area. (maybe I'm looking in the wrong places).

It would come in handy for super-glueing plants to pieces of bogwood and it would be useful for replacing some cement which has been used near my outdoor pond.

Mark.

I use superglue gel to glue plants to bogwood. (the Gel is more flexible that regular superglue).

You cant apply it underwater but, as it sets in seconds, using it outside the tank is a doddle.

+1 for superglue, it has to be Cyanoacrylate though (actual suerglue). Salties have used it for years to secure corals. The planted side of the hobby also uses it for rhizome plants.

Thanks for the input both of you.

Is there a popular brand of Cyanoacrylate/ superglue gel?

I'd prefer to be told what somebody knows is safe to use rather than go and source my own and end up being dangerous or useless.

the actual Superglue (brand name) is the one to use. I have used this for a couple of years now, as above, just ensure you give it a few minutes to cure and its fine. Be careful not to use large dollops of the stuff as it shows up really white under water.

I've come across the superglue you mention here. It doesn't say that you can use it with brick slates which are the things that make up the border of my pond. They are cemented down and I'm looking to replace the cement with some kind of glue as cement can raise PH and KH of the water.

Hmm, I'll keep searching..
