I have two aquatic frogs along with 2Platys, 2Guppies, 2 Ancistrus, 4Neon Tetras and 4 other very small fish I've forgoten name of.

The question is I feed my frogs live bloodworm about twice a week - I feed my fish once a day on flakes obviously not on bloodworm day. When I put the bloodworm into the tank all the fish go to eat it. The frogs do get some but I wonder if enough. How do I make sure the frogs have enough? How often should they be fed?

Is there anything I can feed my frogs on that the fish won't eat?

Thanks everyone for your advice on yesterdays question - it's so nice to know there's someone there!

Mine just eat the tropical flakes that drop to the bottom, or whatever treat the fish happen to be getting that day.

Thanks guys.

To LizO is it ok to have snails as I was told by my LFS that they eat the plants and can bring disease to the fish? I've just recently picked several out of my tank.

cool, can you keep frogs with tropical fish?
do you need to give them a rock tosit on or will they live in the water?
i am looking for an interesting alternative to just fish to have in there - if you have seen some of my other posts you will see i am having problems getting a snail

any specific trpes of frogs - they dont eat the fish do they?

thanks

Yes you can keep aquatic frogs with fish - they don't bother them at all and they are really amusing little things. I've got two of them and they seem to fit in anywhere - they burrel under my plant pots and sit in the pots or in the foilage of the plants, they do like to hide and play. I feed them with live blood work about twice a week if I can;t get live I use frozen. Do get some they great!!!

I've never had a problem with diseases from snails. I don't know about your plants, as I don't keep live plants.
You probably have trumpet snails, which come on live plants. Obviously I've never had them, but they are usually considered a pest. I buy mystery snails from the LFS, and I love them.

Oh yes, read carefully and make sure if you want a frog to live in a tank with fishes you dont want eaten they are ADF...NOT ACF!! [African Clawed Frog//African Dwarf Frog]ACF's get fairly large and will gobble up anything that moves if it fits in their mouths, even another ACF. ( (ADF's will eat fry and tiny fishes if they can fit them into their mouths.)

Bertha,my ACF,would eat a bag of dog chow if I gave it to her she is a voracious eater. She has tripled in size too. I bought her when she was an inch long and now she fits nicely in my palm. She's still a baby too! I love her tho she is a beautiful girl.
