I gave up with real plants after replacing them ad-nauseum, just got a couple of big chunks of bogwood in there now and i'm happy with the look

For a while though it seemed I was forever up to my armpits in fish tank trying to get it to look just so! I might as well have just opened my wallet and tipped it out into the tank for all the good I did with my meddling .

iam curious to what you got??? i know my c02 system cost me £200 thats the most i splashed out on in one go darnt do that now though apart from the tank itself which was £480 but have a wonderfull lfs who let me pay in bits at that time,the tank regime is a pain in the ass but its nessisary evil cant shell out much any more as we have 2 disabled kids who take up more time than i have and then theres work and having my arms armpit deep in the tank (im only little) dont do the athritis a bunch of good but i love to whatch the fish glide about the CAE rip off the themometer for the millionth time and the loaches pop there heads out of the mangrove roots to see what the comotion is about, the babies are fantastic its awe inspiring to see them born but i have 66 3 weekers and 12 juvies and they are kind of taking over now
they are inportant to my kids too them and the cats who sit on top of the tank paws a dangling, y know im sure my CAE goads them he just sticks himself to the sides just out of paw reach and inches slowly towards them then moves around the paws could almost hear him say "too slow ya fat lazy cats" or "1cm of glass baby yeahhhhhh"

another 100 quid on a co2 kit on ebay

and 100 on various fetrs and other bits and bobs

the tank has been winding me up for weeks i`ve wanted to go fully hightec planted so now i have all i need to do that

Sh*t thats going to be some tank!!!! it soon adds up dont it do you think the bank would buy the idea of a crisis loan for my fish?! or should i go to the council and ask for them to be rehoused quite like the sound of a 52 roomed aquarium
