I am adding Hygo sunset and Tonia soon.
Would like some suggestions for improving the aquascaping, for can't move plants around to much do to having kitty litter in the substrate.

When you host them on flickr, go to "all sizes" then right click and "copy image location".
Click on the insert image icon underneath "fonts" when making a post, you then paste this in the box that says "Please enter the URL for this image" :).

Nice tank I would put the Tonina on the left at the back, and the hygro from the middle to the right at the back.
Although tbh I would leave out the hygro...it grows way to fast for my liking and usually becomes a pain, even the 'sunset' stuff.

Once everything has grown into a jungle, then hack into it to make a nice shape, but you will need to prune alot before that anyway just enough to make sur ethe foreground plants get enough light, otherwise they will get leggy :).

At present it is a bit of a jungle. For the background it a mixture of Rotala Indica and hornwort.

Feel the hornwort need a space of its own for it goes everywhere.

I purchased the tonia because I read it does good in soft water. Later read that it is a difficulte plants. Read it needs 3 in of substrate thus have to put it in the right.

Plants are:back to front/ right to left
Hornwort,
Rotala Indica,
Hygro sunset, Tonia fluviatilis, Carolina Fanwort 2 stems, Bacopa caroliniana
Sags
Left of wood
Hygrophila difformis 1 stem, Cryptocoryne balancae 2, Java fern,

Should I put the Horwort and Hygor sunset on the right side? Then the middle put the Bacopa and Tonia? Should I add some wood ornament in the middle?

Looks good :good: .

Can I ask you why you used kitty litter as a substrate, and what kind of kitty litter it is? I've heard of it being used before but haven't found out why it's good for plant roots yet!

I used the red bag kitty litter. Read that it increases the cation of the soil. Thus nutrients obsorbed into the substrate. Even saw it mentioned in the krib. It is suppose to help plants grow those small hair roots. Google it and you'll find there is a specific mixture. I just mixed some into my organic dirt. Topped it with a fingers width of sand and then added flourite 1in to 2in. Could of just used sand on top but I had it in a previous tank and didn't like the sand after 3 months. Now in this tank I have a little sand on the left for my cory to eat. For even though I have read many have cory's with flourite I think it is harder for him to find food on the gravel. Poor think lost his pal while I was on vacation.

Paul_219 thanks for the comment. As the plants on the right and left adjust they should get more red.

Well I am through buying plants now need to move onto buying fish. Just going to get some cheap ones. My favorite are the black mollies. The first group didn't live long. Perhaps with more plants they will do better.
