Hey guys,
I could really use the advice of those that have expertise in aquascaping and plants. Attached are a few pictures of my tank. I have an idea for my tank but I'm not sure if it will make the tank look overcrowded and over done.
Sorry about the glare and reflection from the sand.
I'm thinking of adding an S-shape of java moss that starts at the back left hand corner of the tank and comes out and between the bunch of h polysperma and driftwood to trail along the back of the tank wall to the right. I've drawn the path in the following two pics so you can get an idea of what I'm looking for.
Alternatively, the trail could come out a few inches further towards the front of the tank before it comes back through the driftwood and polysperma.
In short, I want a trail of java moss following that path as if it is growing on the surface of the substrate. The challenge is finding a piece of mesh that I can cut and mould to that shape. Note that the susbstrate is on a slope, so it needs to be pliable enough to move down and then up on the substrate while still laying flat. I guess that rules out slate and wood. Will mesh be pliable enough? It's essential that the the java moss eventually covers all of what it is attached to.
Do you guys think that this job is doable, and even if it is, is it desirable? All advice is welcomed.
Thanks guys,
