Hi,

i have been using tetra aquasafe as my tap water conditioner, but today i read the bottle and found out that it does not(or doesnt say) it neutralises chloramine. is this true? and if it is can chloramine kill filter bacteria?

If it doesn't neutralize chloramine you are better off finding a conditioner that does. They are almost all pretty much the same and some treat more water than aquasafe does. One thing to check is if your water is treated with chloramine. If you call your water company they should be able to tell you. More and more areas are treating their water with chloramine because it does a better job of treating water than plain chlorine.

i use tapsafe. it removes chloramine and chlorine, and well as other toxic materials.

so it does treat chloramine... thanks alot for the help
