Aquariums - Cabinet Colors In Particular!

Hi All,

First off, hello i'm new here and new to the whole tropical fish thing too. I've got the space and time to keep fish in my lounge and I am currently looking for a Bow fronted fish tank and stand. I know its easy as there are loads out there (i've looked!) however I have a real problem in cabinet color. My lounge is decorated in Oak and to put a 4ft tank with cabinet in there in beech/dark wood/black ash isn't doing it for me. So before I get started it's got to be perfect.

Does anyone know of a place where I can get an aquarium in oak. I've actually started looking at custom made but if keeping fish ends up a mistake (which I dearly hope it isn't) I don't fancy spending over a grand finding out!

Any answer are helpful and welcomed. I really want to get this kicked off before the end of june to hopeful finish cycling at the end of july/early august.

I don't know where you can find oak in particular... I know the Petco by me does cabinets in several different colors, and one of them may be oak.

On the other hand, in my opinion, I like the idea of an aquarium on a stand that contrasts with the coloring already in the room. It makes the aquarium more of a focal point - rather than a blended in piece of furniture. Again, that's just my opinion.

you can get bow front tanks and oak 'effect' cabinets made by Seabray and Seashell.
also the classic cabinet company will do them in oak, but they are very very expensive.

try asking one of TFFs sponsors, Windsor aquatics, they may do an oak effect one too.

I live about 10 miles from Windsor so i'll pop in at some point soon. I'll get on looking into the other two you mentioned, hopefully i'll hit the jackpot.
