Aquarium Silicone

Hope this the right spot for this question. I need to attach some plastic holders to the top of the aquarium which is also plastic, so will aquarium silicone adhere to this. I am going to lay perspex across as a condensation tray.
also, can i use the silicone while fish are in tank? It won't be in contact with water.

Yes, you should be fine... even near water ! If these fixings are going to be permanent, a quicker method would be superglue.
