Aquarium Nightmares

Hey!

So I was curious to know, has anyone else done any stupid things to do with aquariums? e.g. Bad stocking and all those things when you first start or even later on.

Thought this post would be slightly entertaining and maybe helpful.

When I first got my 120L, I put all these fish in without cycling my tank: 5 Siamese Fighters, 3 Silver Sharks, 2 Red-clawed Crabs, 2 Figure 8 Puffers, 2 Angel Fish, a Black Ghost Knife Fish, 4 Zebra Danios, 4 Platies, a Glass Cat Fish, a Half-Banded Spiney Eel and 2 Common Plecos.

Wow, what a mistake I made. Won't be doing that again.

What happened to those inhabitants ?

Think most people will have done the adding fish to the uncycled tank part, including me.
When i first started out fish keeping i had so many different cichlid in my 55g that it kills me to think what would of happened if i didn't sign up here.

3 green terror (2f 1m), festivum, oscar, severum, tiger barbs, rainbow shark, pair kribensis, 2 firemouth, 3 keyhole, clown loaches, common plec and there's prob alot more i've forgot about.

Lucky for me, they was all mainly small at the time giving me plenty of time to rehome them and even enjoy them a little before. Tank currently has male green terror and rainbow shark, next project is to spice it up though

Nothing good. Half of them died. Which was sad because they were all awesome fish. I managed to take the rest back though. Luckily I joined this forum in time.

Oh wow, that was quite a stocking then. Nice and violent.
