I set up my 65 gallon aquarium a few months ago where there was no sunlight. Now, with the season changing, the sunlight is on the side of the tank. I have a feeling it will be alot worse in the summer. What do I do? Right now, when the sun is on it completely, I hang a towel on the side of the sunlight. I don't have anywhere else to put this huge aquarium.

Your current solution seems the most pragmatic. You could also consider a fancy bifold screen if it is your living room and decor matters. If it isn't too bad you can reduce the time on your lights to adjust and expect you may have to scrap the windows on the sunny side a bit more. My tanks do not get direct sun but in the summer I have to reduce the light timers about 1.5 hours. As the spring moves to summer it might not be any worse, the higher angle of the sun in the summer might reduce the sun's affect, but it could, as you fear, make it worse too.

Sunlight isnt all that bad on aquariums. I know people shout about algae, but as long as you dont have your aquarium lights on full whack too then youll be fine. The only issue is temperature. Whilst fish are ok within a wide range of temperatures, if the tank is in direct sunlight then just keep an eye on the temp. If its getting above 28c then open the hood and point a fan at the surface of the water.
