Fish Crazy
Does anyone have any experience with these?
Recently the bulb in my light failed, it came with the 'Aqua Qube 40' and has lasted almost 2 years so it dying wasn't too much of a big deal. I opened up the unit to get the old bulb out and a the part screwing the bulb to the unit came away with the bulb, sorry I can't describe it very well.
The bulb kind of slots through it, and I though oh i'll just be able to slide it off, but I can't, it had some really hard black rubbery stuff holding it in, I stanley-knifed my way past that and it still won't come off. I put a new bulb in the unit with some duck tape and tin foil for a cover, so thats fine, but obviously the proper part would be better than suck tape. But I can't use it because the old bulb is still attached.
Has anybody experienced this before, or know how I could get it out with lots of damage to the plastic part?
I tried to take pictures to explain it better but you can't really see it on photos
.
Any help would be great
thanks in advance
