DRILLING TWO HOLES DID COME INTO MY HEAD BUT A DIAMOND DRILL CUTTER IS NOT CHEAP.

I PAID £20 EACH FOR THE 4FT TANKS AND £7 FOR THE BRIDGE TANK. I HAD THE ACRYLIC TO TURN THE SMALL TANK INTO BRIDGE AT HOME. AND MY PARTNER GOT THE WOOD FOR THE TANKS FOR FREE AT WORK. SO £47 IS NOT BAD IN MY BOOKS. STILL NEEDS LOTS OF WORK THOUGH.

AND YOU HAVE THE ADVANTAGE OF SPLITTING THE TANKS AGAIN (SO IF I MOVE AND THEY CAN'T SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER I CAN BUILT A BIGGER BRIDGE).

AND NO WHEN YOU DO A WATER CHANGE THE WATER DOES NOT COME CRASHING OUT.

ITS EASY. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE ENOUGH WATER SO THAT WHEN YOU EMPTY THE WATER BRIDGE THERE ROOM FOR THE WATER TO GO. AND THE BRIDGE TANK WON'T DRAIN UNTIL AIR CAN GET BACK INTO IT.SO ONCE YOU REMOVED ENOUGH WATER YOU THEN PASS A TUBE INTO THE WATER BRIDGE, WHEN TUBE IS SITTING AT TOP, BLOW ONE BREATH OF AIR INTO TUBE. THE WATER THEN DRAINS WHILE AIR SUCKED IN BY TUBE. ITS SO EASY AND IDIOT COULD DO IT. WHILE THJAT EXPLAINS WHY I MANAGED IT.

I think it looks amazing, bit of a keep fit for fish thing lol, if they have a row they can move tanks ,

That's brilliant, well done. I see various advantages to this, not to mention the intrigue alone of a "water bridge" :)

it certainly looks different and impressive, liking the wood in the right hand tank....some better pics would be good!

I like it, it looks great. Better, and more, pics when you can :)

Looks really cool, I am still confused how the water changes work though lol.

How often do the fish use it? And is it only certain fish in your tank or do they all give it a go? I couldnt see in the pics either if you need to have a filter in the bridge to help the water flow?

cheers chish.

my fish use it all the time. my biggest gourami never leaves it unless it food time. even my angelfish uses it. the only fish that don't are my Siamese algae eater and my pleco.

my current stocking is rosy barb, platys, keyhole cichlids, festivums, gourami, algue eater and para pleco.

the water is kepted moving with a water pump, current saving for a fuval fx5 filter. which when brought will be the main filtration and pump. only got internals at the moment, can't wait to get it then i can start stocking the tanks properly.
