Hn, I don't have experience with that specific brand, but my cats drink from my betta bowls quite often and haven't been effected. I was previously using "jungle start right", and now I use "api stress coat".
i think they just like the dechlorinated taste.
I am a little concerned about the aloe vera in 'stress coat', since aloe vera is toxic to cats on some level, but if all it does is remove harmful metals and dechlorinates, I'd say that it was most likely safe.
I'd email the manufactuer, if I were you, just in case you think they'll do it often. If this is an isolated incident, you're probably cool.
