Two PL lamps which are standard with the tank for daytime.

Moonlight is made from two dual cold cathode (kit from ebuyer) and a AC adapter cost me around £8 to make so bargin really :)

i have the moon lights too i need to hook them up after seeing your  do you think they are worth it???

I think they are great. Nice to see my fish of an evening and when people are round theycan still see them without having the main lights on. Obvisouly also helps combat algae in some ways as you dont need to have main tank lights on all day and night. Also the moonlight is subtle so will allow fish to sleep.

Currently have them on for two hours in the morning before main lighting comes on and two hours after lights out :)

how long would you leave them on for??would they not get very hot?

I'm thinking of getting an Aqua One 850 tank for my tropicals.

The filter system seems to be unique to that particular make. Do you have any advice for me or any problems you encountered ?

Any help gratefully received.

Many thanks
