Hi all,

I know that there is some slight differences in performance, but does anyone have any experience with these two filters (or similar models in the same range).

The reason I ask is that the little lady and I were looking at a Amazon 240 litre (classic) tank in World of Water at the weekend and the deal includes the Aqua One filter but there is the option to switch do a different filter (model or manufacturer) for the difference in price.

Thanks in advance!

i ve got the fluval 205 which i think is really good better than i thought it would be very quiet had no problems with it does the job easy to clean

Ive used the aqua one CF1000 (similar to the aquis) and its a very good filter, prefer it to the Fluval 305 which I frankly didnt like as it was a pain to prime. Stick with the filter that comes with the tank is my advice, unless you can change it to a higher rated model for the same price.

I've been reading in other posts that Aqua One are no longer selling spares in the UK... It might not be much of a problem atm while LFS currently have a stock of spares, but by the time I'd had a problem with the filter there is a very real chance that there would be none available...

Looks like Aqua One have made the decission for me....

Good thing Fluval spares are readily available really, a lot of their owners go through a lot of them. :shifty:

Unless you are swapping to a Tetratec, Eheim (non-ecco or electronic) or Rena, I'd stick with the standard filter myself :good:
