Hi all im new here and I was thinking of buying a Aqua One 620 and I wondered if anyone has any views on the tank, particularily that filter system they have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

90 litres, so big enough for a decent community :)

Looks like the filter has two banks of media (although hard to see how big they are), so should be reasonably efficient provided you keep the stocking sensible.

Two light units too, so some hardy plants could do well in there with some ferts.

Looks like a fairly nice basic small tank!

excellent tanks ive had 1 for about 2 years now and its great not had any trouble with it. infact its up for sale as soon as the current stocking is sold :good:

aah thats brilliant to hear. Its been between the Juwel Rekord 800 and the Aqua one and I had decided against the juwel because of that internal filter but, I had heard scare stories about them not being capable and people having to replace the aqua one filter with external filters but I think the new one has changed. Also do you need extra airation or is the filter able to do that?

the outflow of the filter is quite close to the surface and will provide enough aggitation to not need any air pumps etc unless you want bubbles in the tank that is... :good:

Ahh thats good to hear, although I might buy a ario underwater one sometime but its good to hear I dont NEED it. Errmm and is the filter quiet or does it trickle? Also is yours planted? Sorry for all the questions but I need to know what it is like so I can get ready.

ahh thats good. Your tank looks brilliant and i like how you have hidden the filter intake pipe and i like the moss balls. Also what is that coming down the left hand side thats looks like a cable? and what is that grass looking stuff on the left hand side? have you got any CO2 supplement?
Ash

the blue cable looking thing is an air line for a sponge filter, i only had blue airline at the time..... it was removed from my shrimp tank to cycle the media in the hood as ive recently set this tank up for shrimp and platinum tetras. the grass stuff are actually plastic plants along with the big thing on the left covering the heater etc. no co2 or ferts just the standard lights in the hood :good:

sorry I didnt explain well enough, I mean the white ladder looking thing on the left. So I should be able to keep some easy plants in there, and do those moss balls do well in there? Thanks

its part of the hanging plant :good: moss balls will be ok in pretty much any tank to be honest they dont require any special treatment. the lighting in these tanks is pretty good so you should be fine with easy plants.

cool all good to hear. Ill go ahead and buy that tank then. Thanks for your help.
