Does anyone have the aqua one aquanano? I'm looking particularly at the 30 model, the 22 litre one.

My main question is what is the filter flow like? I need a gentle flow, or something adjustable. It is the same filter as in the 12l, and the 55l has a more powerful version of the same one.

And what is the light like, any good for plants?

I have the 55l version. There is a flow adjuster on the powerhead, on mine at least.

The light isn't great, tbh, so don't think you're going to be growing any high light plants! The medium/low level light plants I have are doing perfectly fine though.

They're a very nice tank, IMO, I'm very happy with mine.

Thanks, went out and got it this evening. I have a big issue now though, as the pump/powerhead thing is vibrating loudly, and its in my bedroom  It's also making the whole tank vibrate, and the furniture its sitting on too. Can't be good for the fish either, surely?!

Have you put poly between the tank and the cabinet?

No, should I?

I've managed to quiet it a bit by wrapping the powerhead in a sponge, and thats stopped most of the vibrations running through the tank, but its still irritating, and I think I've partially blocked the intake, as the flow has dropped and it sounds a bit choked.

Hmm, that's a bit of a problem and I'm not sure what to suggest. I don't think polystyrene is a good idea; these tanks aren't built that way. Maybe something like a mouse mat/sponge type thing might work?

Do you have the same problem with yours fluttermoth? WOndering if I've placed it wrong or something  I've just got the hole on the powerhead lined up with the hole in the acrylic back bit. I've moved the heater over to the ceramic media section and just have one bag of ceramic media in there, as it was vibrating against the heater as well.

Hmm, mine is a bit 'hummy'. but I thought it was because I've got it on a hollow sideboard. It hasn't really bothered me anyway, as it's in the living room rather than my bedroom!

If I touch the glass of my tank I can feel the vibrations slightly. Would this be bad for the fish in there? I might contact Aqua One and see what they say. The heater thermostat doesnt seem to be accurate either, the temp is 22 and its set at 24 and its not coming on, I've checked it against my old biorb heater which does come on, and 2 thermometers.

For now, I have cut up new washing up sponges, and the powerhead now has sponges all round the sides and the back and front, and one on top too.
