i have 2 long bits of pipe that have holes in the all the way along and a meshed in let which one is best to use i have never used a external filter be for

Yup, thats what they are.

If you bought the filter new the Aqua One filters come with a very thorough 'user guide' on how to set it up...

lol well it dident it dont tell ya nowt so the spraybar is the out let ok a thought it was the in let well it come with a paddle thing which a thought was the out let is there can ya mess the inlet up just thinking a dont want fish in ma filter cos the holes r prity big lol thanks alot

The 'cage' looking piece is the inlet strainer.

The pipe with the holes in is a 'spray bar' and the 'paddle' thing is likely a duckbill.
Either the spraybar or the duckbill can be fitted as outlets, depending how you want your water to enter the tank

orite thanks alot think i have got it now just started the filter make sure it works ok it is so quiet its unreal


it came with 2 filter medias a think pad and a fine one what is the other stuff u put in there like bioballs which is best a no am going to upset some one soon but want stuff to go right dont want stuff to be going rong befor a get fish
