Does anyone have one of these tanks (Dimensions 51W x 34D x 56H cm - 75l)? if so or you know of them, how do you go about changing the bulbs in the hood to something more compatible with a planted tank ? (Currently 2x11w PL - On for 8hrs a day, then 3 blue led's simulate moonlight for 4hrs a night)
Do I even need to change the bulbs to something else ?
I have a hagen c02 unit running with home made mix in there also and try (when I remember...whoops) to add flourish excel every couple of days.
Plants look okay with the exception of a few leaves on some loosing colour (going from green to yellow to white), but its not the whole plant, just say 1 leave on each of a few different plants.
I realise without the correct lighting, then no matter what I add in wont really make a difference, so best I get that right. What I along with everyone else on a budget would prefer is replacement bulbs in there, that fit into the current set-up to keep costs to a minimum.
