The water in this tank 74 gallons weighs 44stone. i hope to move into a first floor flat next year. Any ideas on how to make the floor stronger, is it to heavy in the first place.

Not much you can do to strengthen a floor, short of bringing in a team of professionals, but that can be ery expencive IMO, with that size tank, you should be fine, so long as you live in the UK, the tank is placed up against a wall, and accross the joists. I am unsure of the legal requirements governing the ammount of weight a floor is required to hold, outside the UK, however, thus you may wish to wait for another members responce, should you live ouside the UK.
