Hi
I now have a tank at work but Bert seems to think the flow is too fast. It has a little switch on it to slow it down but it doesnt seem to do anything. Are there any other ways to slow it down?

Thanks for your help...

There are fittings that go into the air line that you can regulate the amount of air that goes to your filter

I have a whisper filter so I am not sure what your filter looks like or how it works. Anyway if the current from the filter is coming from the top of the tank, try a plastic bottle. Cut the bottom off the bottom of a soda or water bottle, place it over the top of the filter. I won't effect the filter but it cuts down on the disturbance in the tank.

I have a whisper filter but its not air line it just plugs in and filters from the bottom up and pours out the top. { [post="0"]see how the top is open[/post] } and the flow was way too strong what i did was i used the water bottle trick

which worked but it was still just a tad too strong for my liking so i went out and bought some cheep knee highs and folded it over inside of its self twice and slipped it over the top of the opening of the filter and then put the bottle curve over top that. IT works great! and my betta actually swims round the tank more with out having to fight the current!
I will post a picture in abit i have to get to my cord to plug my camera in...

Here is how i set mine up
Here you can see the nylon stretched over the top and then he bottle over top that

and here you can see how smooth the water flows out, very dispersed, so the flow is much lower

I put the bottle over top because it was spitting out a bunch of bubbles, i put hte bottle in far enough that it touches the side of the filter under the water and it is barely a disturbance at all Rod loves it now!
