Just bought a tank, filter, heater etc second hand from advert at local pet shop.
Spent a couple of days cleaning everything but can't suss out how the filter fits together. It looks to me like some parts are missing.
Here's a pic of all the bits, all labelled with Photoshop. Can anyone please help me putting it all together etc.

As far as I can tell item D has a part missing next to the circle bit.
What are all the hoses for?
Is it better to get a new filter/pump system, if so which one for about £40 tops.
