Got an apple snail yesterday and was just wondering if anyone could tell me the basics to keeping them? So far it tends to stay at the top of the tank coming down now and that is this normal? And what should I be feeding them or anyone got any other hints/tips.

I got other fish in the tank aswell, 11 Neon tetras, 2 guppys (1m 1f), 2 angels (koi and black) and an algi eater. these fish ok with them?

Thank you.

Apples snails are scavenging omnivore critters, so will eat pretty much anything, i feed mine a mix of cucumber, catfish pelets, algae wafers and the odd cooked prawn :) .
Your fish should be fine with them but not with each other, angels can eat neons when they grow up and may also harrass the guppys- ideally you should have 2-3females per male guppy to help avoid to much agression/harassment between the male and females  .
