I have 2 apple snails on the way, and already one in my 88ltr coldwater tank i was going to put them all in the coldwater tank but i was thinking of having one in the betta tank its a 21litre what do you think or is it not big enough for an apple snail?

Yes an apple snail should be fine. Just keep an eye on them for a whle to make sure the betta gets along fine with it. He wouldn't really be able to do much damage to one anyway. The most he's likely to do is flare at the snail.

I had one in each of my betta tanks and they made a heck of a mess! I sold them and now the sand is lovely and clean again :)

Ohh, If they start to make a mess then ill give them away but hopefully they'll be alright in the tank & not to messy.

There shouldn't be any problem with mess if you use a gravel vac to clean your tanks and remove water. You just swirl it over the surface of the and to pick up debris.

I'm not on the anti apple snail brigade, honest, but I have to do water changes every other day at least and it was filthy again within hours :(

Not quite sure how one snail can snarl a tank that much. I have one snail (His name is "Pace") in a 5gal tank. I remind him that he must behave, or I will demote him to escargot
