my adult silver dollar, that's in with my yellow acara, began eating my anubias nana, that was flowering in that tank, I added another piece of spider wood, to help protect it, and have a plethora of vegi cookies I feed, but the dollar is bound and determined to completely eat that anubias, contortioning to be able to get a bite, with the additional spider wood... I guess it's good fresh food, but I was kind of bummed, as that was my 1st aquatic plant that flowered, and it was looking so good, in that tank...

maybe some lettuce or spinach would help salvage the plant from complete destruction

Pretty sure it would go for spinach like Popeye the sailor.

I put a pretty large leaf of fresh spinach in the tank this morning... I've heard about blanching, but think the nana would have been "crisp" so if the spinach doesn't get consumed, I'll try a blanched leaf...

It took 2-3 days for Dollar to try the spinach... it was a larger leaf with the stem, and went in raw, rather than blanched, and it's gone today... maybe I'll call him Popeye... Popeye wants more spinach... we're getting it fresh out of the garden right now...

You know he's bookmarked that Anubias to go back to it once the garden stops producing.

I put in my zucchini yesterday. I don't eat it much, but the Ancistrus love it.
