I put 3 bulbs in my tank about a week ago and the flowering part of it grows about 1-2" a NIGHT the leaves grow really quick too. It's looking more like a lily actually, I don't know if I got sold the wrong thing, it's in plain sand substrate, no extra ferts at all, low lighting, but it's in quite a sunny spot. Just thought I'd let you know!

Mine grew really quickly when i had one. I kept it in my shrimp tank before the shrimp moved in and it was a betta tank. I had to trim a couple of leaves every week or the betta ran out of room to swim

I did have a series of photos of it growing but i think they are on my dads laptop and i wont see him for months :(

OK help, this is growing about 2ft a week, seriously, I even planted it up front because I didn't know how high it grew! Can I move/prune it? If so, how? It's out of control lol

i got some bulbs from greenline this week and one has grown nearly 30cm in 2 days no idea what it is though lol

esfa m8y since youv given me loads of good advice on the forum ill give you 1 if you like can post it nxt week if thats any good (goin away 2moz you see)

Get a room you 2
What about MY plant problem eh eh?

haha, sorry. :shifty:

I think you can just lift the whole thing ot of the substrate, trim the roots down, so it's more manageable and re-plant.

At least, that's what i do with all my plants..... almost once a week.

Yea you can move it, I originally planted mine near the front and ended up moving it... It slowed it down for a couple of weeks then it was off again.

It probably wont go on like this forever though... Mine started to look really tatty after about 9 months so i put it through the recommended dormant period but I think i let it get too dry as it hasn't started to grow again yet.
