So a long while ago, I got some kind of dried up bulbs at walmart. It says it's an aponogeton? *shrugs*
Anywho.. I remember I dropped it into the aquarium as it says to do, but it never grew. It just got moldy so I had to take it out.
Is there any trick into growing these things?

Would rather try than just throwing them away.... so any help would be great :)

I've bought several packages of those, sometimes they grow, sometimes they don't, it's a bit of hit or miss.

At walmart they sell a little pack of dried up plant bulbs. It says Live Aquarium Plants on the top and then below where the plants are, it says Hardy Aponogeton Bulbs or something like that. I plopped the remaining bulbs into my tank earlier today and threw away the packaging.. I would've taken a pic of it if I hadn't heh.

I've brought pack before, one of them grew....and grew....and grew lol it was reaching to the top of 20gal high when I took the tank down. The other bulb never grew.

I just brought another pack today, for my betta. so I'll let you know if they grew or not. When my first one grew I was seeing the little leaves of it in about 4 day so it won't be long.

I personaly have never gotten them to grow .... every package I have ever tried had a warrenty that they would grow .... and I can't count the replacement bulbs ... Althought the company I delt with was rather nice and with Proof of purchace replaced the bulbs and then some ... I was wondering if putting the bulb in a plastic bag with a wet or damp papertowel and taping it in the window would work like it did when we where little in science class.

Yeah I think if these don't grow, I'm going to get some more and try that technique cgbender.
At least that way, won't have to worry about it getting fungus or mold or whatever on the bulb when nothing happens.

Texas... I hope in 4 days I'll be able to report back w/ growth from them! heh
