i have a couple of tanks with bristlenose plecos breeding regulary in them and was wondering could i put a pair os apistos in each with the plecos. would either eat each others eggs or would they get along ok.? i have a tank with a pair of Apistogramma Cacatuoides a pair of endlers and some cherry shrimp and they are all getting along ok but i was wondering should i add a pair of bristlenose with them. thanks, max

I'm actually going to be putting a bristlenose in with a pair of Wild Cacatouides on tuesday. I think you might have some skirmishes because they will be after each others eggs.

I am not big on Apistos. However, I kept a small group of tripple red cacs in a 16 gal with a pair of breeding alf bn plecos. This pair was wierd as they threw 100% non-albino babies. After the second spawn I had had enough and was deciding whether to separate or sell them. It was then I got the cacs and, lacking any other space, they went into the well planted 15 with the bn couple.

I gave away the apistos some months later. They did not call me. However, while I had them they did me a huge favor. They ate two alf spawn for me. Both were eaten once free swimming and out of the cave. The apistos just picked them off the glass, the wood the rocks or the plants.

thanks for replys guy..i think ill keep them in different tanks
