Hey guys I am curious if I would be able to fit some Apistogramma in a 14 gallon tank with some neon tetras? Do these fish need to be in pairs, or can I just have one of them in my tank with some neon tetras? If possible, would some corys do in this tank? I'm just kind of concerned that if they need to be in a pair and then they breed that the cories will get attacked due to them "interfering" with the fry. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

A male would be fine with some Neons and a few Dwarf Corys

i agree with andywatson29

1 male will be fine =] they do fine on their own :)

Then that sounds like what I will do. I am ordering off of the internet and just curious if a single female will be fine without a male. Oh and I have little expirence with fish the only fish I have had have died due to fungus, missing fins, the like. Will a cockatoo cichlid be okay in the tank as I have little expirence with fish. I have kept a betta for a little over a year, but that is just way easy. I read that the only hard part about these fish is that they need a well cycled tank. Is that true? My tank has been running 11 months with three cories and aded some neons and they died due to a missing fin, fungus, and just WEAK swimming. The other 2 are still alive. I have no way of guaranteeing that the fish I order will be male so just curious as if to a lone female will work.

I live in the states amte, but exactly what kind of fish is that.

EDIT: Oh sorry, only looked at the pics.
