Hi James,just messing mate. They look about right for the age,a breeder i know usually starts selling his on at about 8-12 weeks old. I was in The Abyss yesterday didnt have much of interest in had some nice XL Rams both sexes aswell for a change also noticed an empty tank with a sign on it saying A.Panduro due in sometime before 2011.. seriously though there doing great..Keep us posted mate...would like to see a pic of the parents if possible

They had some amazing looks Rams there the other month but only males, according to the very attractive blonde girl that works there
I think I will be giving rams a possible go once I have the fish house, I think the Neolamprologus brichardi I bought have paired up, so might have a random spare female, but I'll see what happens.

Think I have just doomed the new eggs as I have just taken a look and the spawns seem to be getting bigger, which is good, I might have to add in a fake cave and I can remove it and raise the fry seperate, might mean I get a few more raising them myself?

Update:

Fry are doing well, lost a few more but they are getting big now, not far off size to ship out I think. oooh exciting!!

Hi James,
Sorry only just seen your post before the last one. Yeah they do have some very nice looking Rams and yes a very attractive blonde girl which is who i was talking about the Rams and she said they only have males until i pointed out that a few had paired up and was preparing spawning sites at the rear of the tank and chasing the others away,then she admitted she doesnt even know how to sex them Im actually picking up 3 young F1 pairs today from a breeder

Thats cool, I thought they had both sexes when I was there the other week, but she told me they were only males. I knew I was right

Yeah get a tank setup I think probably some time in July I'll probably prep them for selling, need to speak to the abyss too when they are ready. Not sure how many I have atm, will have to could hem but I think its about 10-13 of them. I tried to take some more pics but they are too #41#### quick and just look like blurs, I need a decent camera.

Well time for an update, a couple of the fry are getting big now, and are showing markings looks like the bigger fish may be females, and an update on the 9 I think there is actually 11.

I can count 10 in this pic, there is a grey smudge just under the log at the left (as you look at the pic) and another to the right, and another next to the heaters power cable. As well as the obvious ones.
