Apistogramma Hybridisation?

Hi there

I got curious about apisto hybrids the other night. A google search reulted in very little info.

Has anyone heard of hybrids being bred between the different apistos?

Hi there,

To a certain extent you have hybrids already, albeit we refer to them as colour morphs. The chances of unintentional hybridisation between (and within) the different lineages I think will be non existent.

Essentially it would appear that female Apisto's are pretty good at making sure they pair off with the right male!!
