Hello! I made a post about this in the tropical discussion and didnt get much feedback so thought i'd make one here!

Last saturday/Sunday my little apistos laid a load of eggs on the underside of one of those half coconut things, I've never known what my pH actually was as my API test kit says above 8.8 so was suprised when i found the female guarding the coconut so fiercly! Especially considering theyre so small at the moment!

Anyway I have no idea what to do!
I have this "Tetramin baby food" and a 15L tank which isn't cycled. I don't really know anything about how it all works but I think i'm in the "wriggler" stage as alot of the eggs have dropped to the floor and are shaking quite alot!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially if someone could tell me the pH of the tap water in my area (YO23)
Thanks.

Ask your water provider for the pH and hardness.

My preferred method is letting them get their own food from the mulch, but any targetted liquid fry foods should also work once they're actually swimming. In the wriggler stage, they are still using up the egg yolk.
