my female cac has been guarding eggs for a while in a pot, i checked today and they are now wrigglers. I picked the pot up to count how many there was and placed it back carefully, when i went to turn off the lights there are none there and none around do you think disturbing them would have caused them to get eaten by parents???? I just dont know where they have gone!!!!

I would say moving the pot, made the eat them. If not they have moved them, look to see it the female appears to be guarding anything?

How many times have they layed? Is the male patroling the are is he not fussed and elsewhere?

This would be 2nd time for her, she is staying around the same area and male is patroling. I hope there just hiding somewhere else

Now she is attempting to mate again with male as she is dancing about all over him

ah pretty normal then, try to let nature take its course the 1st 5-6 times dont do anything you dont have to like lift the pots etc..

They are still learning how to be parents as well as this stage

but i allready have fry from them? maybe there just hiding well lets hope so.....

yeah but i bet you removed them from the tank the other fry before they grew up?

no they stayed with the mother and father :) soo.... im just so confused
