just bought a couple of these today, they are only small, around 1/2 inch, not coloured up yet so can't sex them.
just want to know anything about them really, but 1st are they best as just a pair or in a group? obviously i don't know their sex yet anyway but was thinking of getting around 6 so i have a higher chance of getting a pair.
they were only £2.50 from my lfs, is this a reasonable price for these fish?

Dave

take it you mean A. Borelli ?

These can be kept in a pair or trio really, but will be very territorial towards other pairs/trios that share the same tank,
They are a nice hardy, if a little shy, apisto species that does well in quite a dense setup

just looked at a stores site near me and they have them priced at £9 a pair

ok cheers, not bad then, i might just expand to a small group, wait until a pair form and re-home the rest, does that sound about right?
or would i be best keeping a trio? and if so i take it, it would be 1 male and 2 females?

Dave

thats a good price my agaizzisii where 7.99 and they wernt a pair i just got male and female. 1 males to 2 females is good you could evan have more females if theres enough room in the tank.

Yeah that sounds correct,
As to whether it be best keeping a pair or trio, simply leave it to the male, he will usually decide if he only wants one female or more

so, if he just chose 1 female they would just hang about together? and if he chose 2 females they would just hang about together and so on??
if i got some more and a pair / trio formed and i needed to re-home some i shouldnt have a problem finding homes should i?
