After I did a 50% water change my male apisto has been in constant hiding. I don't know what is causing this as every other fish in the tank is acting normal including the female apisto and her fry. Any ideas?

It may be the female making him aware that he is not wanted. I've seen this with several dwarf cichlids. When the female is shepherding her shoal of fry, the male may or may not be allowed near. If she has made it clear he is not welcome, he will try to hide somewhere. In the wild he would obviously move farther away. I have also seen this change from day to day.

Okay thanks. I think that was the problem as since then he has became active again.
