Apisto-Borelli.

They sell them so SMALL is the problem. They're like under an inch in the shops, and the colors haven't matured yet so people don't buy them because they don't know the potential.

The mature adults are stunning though.

I know! Even these borelli were marked as "convicts"....I am glad I spotted them. Even though I didn't know what they were at first, :*) Just knew they weren't convicts. :p I literally watch them for hours, every day....them and the festivum are very new to me...the only other SA's I have ever had were GT's....they were cool too. In a Tasmanian Devil sort of way.

hahaha! Green terror, the tasmanian devil of the tank world. Anyway, good luck with the SA cichlids mike. FYI-- I've heard festivums and melon swords don't get along, but other than that both of those fish should be very compatible with plants.

Yeah, the plants will be a while...I do want to plant the tank though. :)

Beautiful Borelli! I love the color.
I can't find cacatuoides around here, either. I drove over an hour one-way to a breeder for my harem. Now I'm introducing them to my town! Woohoo!

They were $7 for 2 of them.....because they were marked as convicts...I went back to the store to tell them that they weren't convicts, but apistos, but they didn't seem to care.

I'd say that is not A. borellii. It's some other species or a hybrid, definetely not a real borellii.
