I mean, really, I guess a new 10 gallon is only about $10, but still...is there anyway to make the dividers with the mesh and binder holders without siliconing them to the tank? There has to be some other way to make them stay in place...anyone know?

hello,
I think you can get aquarium grade epoxy putty that you mix well like a bluetac and use that to attach the mesh/seperators to the glass. This stuff hardens like rocks but is not as tough to remove from glass but a pain to remove from rougher surfaces and it also hardens underwater. So it is very much possible to use it un a running tank

I cant get the name of it but usually reefers use it to join rock pieces togather and besids the names may differ from the UK to the US.

get a sheet of 3mm perspex from the hardware and either drill heaps of 6mm holes in it. Or cut a section out of it and cover with shade cloth or plastic flywire.
Hold the perspex in place with airline suction holders, (suction cups that hold airline in the tank).
