its an after market eheim, looks like a good deal, i would try it for that price!

It's made by a different company. I would play it safe and go for a Fluval canister filter; they're not as good as an eheim, but they're a good choice if you don't have unlimited budgets like some people seem to.

you can get filters for cheap on www.petsolutions.com

it's US based but they ship to Canada. I just ordered my lighting kit from them. It's worth a visit IMO
