Anyone Sold Fish On Ac?

each time i have tried selling fish on Aquarist classified i got swamped with timewasters am i doing something wrong or is it the norm?

Its the norm but sometimes you do get the genuine buyer. I sold 4 discus 3.5" for £40 a fella phoned asked to have them for £30 being in a good mood said ok! He got here a day late and wanted them for £20! He ended up paying the £30!
Its annoying when they try to move the goal posts when its a done deal!

Agreed you just have to agree on a price and stick to it, if someone travels a fair few miles to collect them they are not going to go back empty handed if you refuse to lower the price further.

Sadly it is full of time wasters, I now refuse to reply to the e-mails of "where abouts are you" (even though its stated on the ad) and "are the fish still available" I have advertised my Texas 3 times now and 3 times the same idiot has said he is comming to collect then askes loads of stupid questions about them (including what shade of blue they were even though I sent him a picture) and then never turns up. I have managed to sell quite a few on there though, I think it depends on the sort of fish. My pet hate with that site is you see the same people time and time again asking for free fish then they are selling them a couple of weeks later

Does anyone know if there's something like this for the US? It's very hard to locate local shops that aren't Petco. I've only found one by chance and it's 40 miles away.

Not everyone does, I've bought from there and believe what is agreed is a gentleman's agreement. A lot of people I've dealt with try it on but if you stick to your guns then it all ends up good!
