Anyone Read The Story About The Woman Who Lost The Fish!

Read in the paper the other day how a woman lost her fish for 7 hours and found it again alive.

Apparently she had a goldfish in a bowl and woke up one day to notice it wasnt in there anymore, so instead of looking for it, she went down to the petstore to buy another one, the store assistant told her to look around the vacinity of the bowl as goldfish sometimes try to make a jump for it.

So she went home and found the fish on the floor coverd in dog hair and dust from the carpet. Thinking the fish was dead she washed it under the tap before she was going to flush it down the toilet and noticed it breathing and put it back in the bowl.

people this stupid shouldnt even have fish lol.

I have had 2 fish jump out of the tank and had no idea how long they were out of the water. Once was when I woke in the morn and the other was when I got home from work.

One was a Swordtail (it too was covered with dustballs from behind the tank...lol).
The other was a Danio. Both fish were really dazed when I put them back in the tank. I put them in a net and left them. Both lived !!!

Hmmm well think the oddest thing about this story has to be the fact she washed it before she was going to flush it down the toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We did the same when I was a kid, we had 2 fancy goldfish in a 10g (didn't know any better then)

We came home one day to find one of the goldfish 'dead' on the carpet next to the tank - no idea how long it had been there could have been 8 hours or it could have been 10 mins. It wasn't moving at all and was covered in dog hair from where it had rolled about on the carpet. (they do wonders at pciking up dog hair!)

My mum picked it up - it still wasn't moving and decided to wash it off in the tank (no idea why she wanted the dog hair in the tank or why she wanted to wash it off before flushing it) but after 20 seconds or so it started wriggling then swam off trying to shed the hairs - it lived for years after that

Just read the story properly and noticed the pics - no wonder the fish jumped out have you seen what they were keeping two goldfish in!
