Have 5 male and 3 females so I desperately need to increase my females. I can’t locate any at present.

Breeding them won't kill them. Just separate the males and females for 5 days then put them together in a breeding tank with Java Moss. Take them out the following day and see what appears.

That’s the problem. Right now I have 5 males and 3 females. Two of the females are just babies. So I currently have one breeding female against 5 males. I’m not going to do that to her. I have more on the way.
