Petcetera has a sale on tanks,
Petcetera March sale

They have UGFs (I am pretty sure). It is an awfully good price, but I was wondering about the "get what you pay for" theory. Are they perhaps garbage and I'll be buying something else in a few months and have lost my money?
Anyone use these tanks and equipment?

I am thinking of the 33 or 25 gallon (although I might have a look at the 5 gal for some more bettas!)

Hi Dogfish,
They had the same deal back in December for the 33 gallon, and I bought it. Yes it does come with a UGF, which I tossed out and installed a Aquaclear 300. It also comes with a Hagen heater.
The only bad thing I found with mine was the hood was cheap and didn't fit 100% and I feared it would fall into the tank. I went to Home Depot and got some angle iron to fix this potential problem and have had no other problems with the tank. :)

Well thats not too bad then. I think the Hagen heater is a-ok. I'll check it out more thoroughly, and especially check out the lid.
Thanks fellow Canuckian!

Any particular reason why you went with the 300? The 200 is rated for tanks up to 50gal, and this tank is 33. Isn't the flow too much if you use the 300 (rated for tanks up to 100 gal)? (Newbie question ;) )

I bought the 10 gallon tank this month. It seems to be doing the job just fine. I also tossed the UG filter and replaced it with an AquaClear Mini. The heater is not submersible. Just hangs on the back. I don't like the hood cuz it just has that little opening in the middle instead of all the way across the hood.

got ten gal;lon for christmas and the UG filter does very little so you need to do lot's of gravel vacumeing cause everythingstays in there i realy don't like the ug so definately think about adding a filter and the one light just burnt out and that's after about four months, and they don't have a glass cover over the lights
