Hara jerdoni or the Moth catfish as it is sometimes commonly known is a mountain stream dwelling species from Asia. They preffer cool water (22c) with a good current and many smooth pebbles in the substrate as decor. They are not really suitable for a classic community tank but could easily be combined with other fish with similar needs like Danio's, white cloud mountain minnows, rasboros and hill stream loaches (Gastromyzon species are especially suitable). They grow to 2-3 inches and are peacefull to all but really tiny fishes which may be eaten. They are usually reluctant to eat prepared foods such as pellets and flakes so should be fed frozen and live foods like bloodworm regularly.
