Uve asked this question before and the answer will always be the same. The cheap ones are not near as good as those which are made well, e.g Eheim, Tetratec.

looks ok i suppose.....try tetratec there very cheap got my internal 1000 with free heater 150 watt for £20 new at southern aqautics

Generally speaking, Chinese-made products aren't very good.

I cant go for an expensive, I literally have zero pounds, only an ebay balance of about £20.

I will check out that tetratec one though, thanks

I just got a 'cheap' one off ebay, Arrived yesterday. Seems to have gotten noisy overnight, Vibrates a lot and the parts dont fit tightly together. Wish I just spent an extra £15 and got a decent known brand Infact I doubt ill use the filter much longer as the tank is in my bedroom.
