Anyone ever build a rain simulator?

I have been considering creating some type of rain simulator.

I have lighting that can simulate thunder storms, and I think it would be nice to add a rain effect.

A wave bar might do the trick?

I was thinking of just going to the hardware store and getting some 1/2" PVC pipe and start trilling holes in it.

Assuming your pup fills the tubing each hole will just emit a steady stream of water. You want water drops not a steam of water. You want something like a garden sprinkler.
